The Implemention of a Complete Prevention Programme on Social Pathological Phenomena at Elementary and High Schools

ACET Czech Republic was awarded by European Social Fund via the Ministry of Youth, Education and Sport of the Czech Republic and acquired finances through the operational programme „Education for Competitiveness.“ The project to schools is called „Implemention of a Complete Prevention Programme on Social Pathological Phenomena at Elementary and High Schools“ (project’s registration number is CZ.1.07/1.2.00/14.0034). The duration of the project is 36 months and deals with a complete implementation of specific primary prevention of risky behaviour in elementary and high schools. It will be launched in March 2010.

The project will be performed in following five regions of the Czech Republic – Stredocesky region, Pardubicky region, Jihocesky region, Moravskoslezsky region, Karlovarsky region Following activities will be carried out in the frame of the project:

• Intensive and long-term cooperation with particular schools will folow the basic cooperation.
• Informal activities with students will take place.
• Cooperation with methodologists of prevention at schools will be started.
• Lecturers will be supported to broaden their education.
• Methodological and didactic materials for students and school methodologists will be created; a net of mutual support will be set up. Coopperation with project partners (e.g. The Prevention of Criminality Department of the Chrudim Municipality; Pedagogical-psychological Counselling Office of the Chrudim municipality; The Counselling Office for Women and Girls in the Zabreh municipality; National Institute of Public Health) will be broadened.

Project outcomes will be performed activities according to project schedule. Our goal is primarly an intensive and long-term cooperation with schools in the frame of risky behaviour prevention programme. We offer a complex programme for reinforcing prevention of youth risky behaviour. To accomplish it, we want to offer following lectures: Sex, AIDS and Relationships; Smoking; Bullying; How to Prevent Abusing; Friendship and Love. Informal activities follow up these lectures, where there will be more space for discussion and individual help for a jeopardized person.
